Pricing guide

How much does local SEO cost?

Local SEO decides who appears on the map when someone nearby searches for what you sell. Its price follows a few things you can count before you ask anyone for a quote.

What changes the price of local SEO

FactorWhy it changes the cost
Number of locationsEach branch has its own Google Business Profile, page, listings, reviews and competitors. The work grows with every address.
State of your profileAn unverified, duplicated or suspended profile, or one in the wrong category, has to be fixed before anything else counts.
Directory listingsOld addresses and phone numbers on directories, map apps and social profiles must be found and corrected. A business that has moved has more to clean.
ReviewsA steady way to ask satisfied customers for reviews, and a reply to every review, takes setup and weekly time. See review generation.
Location pagesEach branch needs a page with its own facts: address, hours, team, services, how to get there. Pages that differ only by the city name do little.
Local competitionA clinic in a dense city district faces more rivals for the map results than one in a smaller town.
PractitionersClinics with several doctors may need listings for individual practitioners, where Google’s guidelines allow them.

How local SEO is usually sold

Setup, then monthly

A clean-up project for profiles and listings, then a monthly fee for posts, reviews, pages and reporting. The most common model.

Per location

A monthly amount for each branch. Simple to budget as you open or close sites.

One-off clean-up

Profiles and listings fixed once, then handed back. It fits when someone on your team can keep them up to date.

Inside an SEO retainer

For a single-location business, local work often sits within a wider SEO retainer.

What a small, growing and multi-location business usually needs

BusinessTypical scope
One locationA verified, complete Google Business Profile, the main directories corrected, a routine for asking for reviews, one strong location page, and tracking of calls and direction requests.
Growing, a few sitesAll of the above for each site, plus location pages with their own content, posts per branch, and reviews reported by location.
Multi-location or franchiseCentral control of profiles with local input, listing management across the network, a review programme with replies, location pages built from one template, and reporting by branch. See multi-location marketing.

What every local SEO quote and monthly report should show

Quote lines first, then report lines.

  • The locations covered, and the work planned for each
  • Profile and listing clean-up on its own line
  • Your Google Business Profile owned by you, with the agency added as a manager
  • How reviews will be requested, and who replies to them
  • Calls, direction requests, website clicks and messages from each profile
  • Booked appointments by location, read from your CRM
  • Map positions for the searches that sell, by area, in our tracking
  • Listing errors found and fixed this month

Red flags in cheap local SEO offers

Local SEO has its own shortcuts, and Google suspends profiles for several of them. Be wary of:

  • Keywords or city names added to your business name. Google’s guidelines forbid it, and it can get the profile suspended.
  • Fake reviews, or review requests sent only to happy customers. Both break Google’s review policies.
  • A virtual office or co-working address to create a branch that does not exist.
  • An agency listed as the owner of your profile, so you cannot remove it later.
  • Reports of profile views and impressions, with no calls, messages or bookings.

What we need to send you a fixed quote

  1. Your locations

Every address, with opening hours, services, and the practitioners or teams at each one.

  2. Access to your profiles

Manager access to your Google Business Profiles, or their names if nobody can find the owner account.

  3. How local leads arrive

Calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins or online booking, and who answers each one.

  4. A fixed quote

A price for a written scope, location by location. It stays fixed for that scope, and a new branch is added as a separate line.

Frequently asked questions

Is local SEO priced per location?

Often, because much of the work repeats for each address: profile, listings, reviews, page. Some work is shared across the network, such as templates and reporting, so the total for a network is rarely a simple multiple of one site.

Do we still need local SEO if our website is good?

Yes. The map results lean heavily on your Google Business Profile, its reviews and the consistency of your listings. A good site helps them. It cannot replace them. See our local SEO service.

How quickly does local SEO work?

Fixing a profile and its category can change your visibility within weeks. Reviews and outside listings build over months. Our local SEO checklist lists what to fix first.

What if we lost access to our Google Business Profile?

It is common when a former employee or agency set it up. Google has a process for requesting ownership of a profile. Getting the profile back comes first, before any other work.
