AI search & SEO
Enterprise SEO for large, multi-team websites
On a large site, one template change touches thousands of pages, for better or worse. The hard part is rarely knowing what to fix. It is getting it shipped, and keeping the next release from breaking it.
What changes when the site is large
The SEO principles are the same as on a small site. The scale and the people are not. A wrong canonical rule in a product template is wrong on every product. A new navigation built by one team can cut internal links that another team relied on.
Most enterprise SEO problems are organisational. SEO tickets compete with features for developer time. Content is published by marketing, by product, by country teams and by an agency, each with its own habits. Nobody checks the staging site for SEO before a release.
So the work splits in two: the technical and content changes themselves, and the processes that stop them being undone.
What our enterprise SEO covers
Template-level work
Titles, headings, structured data, canonical rules and internal links fixed in the templates that generate thousands of pages.
Crawl efficiency and logs
Server log analysis to see what Googlebot and AI crawlers actually fetch. Google says crawl budget matters mainly for very large or fast-changing sites, which is where you are.
Release checks
An SEO check on staging before each significant release, with a short list of what must not ship.
Publishing rules
Simple written rules for every team that publishes: page types, naming, linking, when to create a page and when not to.
Several countries and brands
Hreflang, domain structure and local signals for each market, through our international SEO work.
Reporting for leadership
Organic revenue and leads by page group and market, in dashboards a director can read in five minutes.
Who does what
Large sites need clear lines. This is the split we propose to in-house teams.
| Area | Your team | Us |
|---|---|---|
| Development | Builds and ships changes | Writes specifications with acceptance criteria, reviews staging |
| Content | Subject experts write and approve | Briefs, page templates, editing for search and AI answers |
| Analytics | Owns the data stack | Defines the SEO reports and connects organic visits to leads and revenue |
| Leadership | Sets business priorities | Turns them into a quarterly SEO roadmap ranked by revenue |
How we work inside a large organisation
Audit by page type
We group the site into templates and page types, then audit each group, so findings map straight to tickets.
Join the planning
SEO tickets go into your sprint planning with a clear effect estimate, so they can compete fairly with feature work.
Check before release
Staging is reviewed before significant releases. Problems caught here cost minutes; caught in production, they cost weeks.
Monitor after release
Automated crawls and Search Console alerts catch what slipped through, usually within days.
Review each quarter
Results, roadmap and priorities reviewed with leadership and measured against revenue.
What we report
Revenue by page group
Organic leads and revenue per template, market and brand, tied through revenue attribution.
Index coverage by template
How much of each page type is indexed, and what is holding back the rest.
Crawl activity
What search and AI crawlers fetch, from your logs, and where they waste time.
Release incidents
SEO problems caught before launch and after, so the process improves.
AI answer presence
How assistants describe your brands and products, through our AI brand perception audits.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as an enterprise website?
There is no fixed line. We use the term for sites with thousands of pages, several brands, countries or publishing teams, or frequent releases. At that point, coordination is as much of the job as optimization.
Do you replace our in-house SEO team?
No. We add hands and a second view. Your team knows the business and the systems; we bring specialised audits, tooling and the time to write and follow up the tickets.
Can you work within our security and approval rules?
Yes. We can work with read-only access, staging environments, your ticketing tool and your approval steps. Tell us the rules at the start and we build the process around them.
How long before an enterprise SEO programme shows results?
Template fixes can show within weeks once Google re-crawls. The bigger gains depend on how fast changes ship, which is why we spend time on the release process.
Do you handle technical SEO separately?
It is part of the same work. For smaller sites, see our technical SEO service.
