Technical SEO services: audits, fixes and migrations

Good pages can stay invisible for years because of one line of code. Technical SEO finds that line, and the dozens like it, then fixes them in order of what they cost you.

Why good sites lose to technical problems

Technical problems are invisible to the people who own the site. The page looks fine in a browser. Meanwhile a noindex tag left over from the staging site keeps it out of Google, or a canonical tag tells Google that the real page is the home page.

Modern sites add their own traps. A page built entirely in JavaScript can arrive at a crawler as an empty shell. Google renders JavaScript, though sometimes well after the first crawl, and some AI crawlers read only the HTML the server sends. If your prices and services exist only after scripts run, some machines never see them.

Redesigns cause the worst damage. New URLs without redirects throw away years of links and rankings in a single afternoon.

What our technical SEO audit covers

Crawling and access

robots.txt, server errors, firewalls and CDN rules, checked for Googlebot, Bingbot and the AI crawlers you want to let in.

Indexing

Search Console coverage, noindex tags, canonical tags, duplicate pages and the sitemap, checked against the pages that should rank.

Rendering

What a crawler sees before scripts run, compared with what a visitor sees. Key content must be in the first HTML.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Loading (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and layout stability (CLS) on mobile. Our speed optimization service handles the heavy fixes.

Structure and internal links

How many clicks it takes to reach a page that sells, and whether your links tell Google which pages matter most.

Structured data

Organisation, service, product, FAQ and article markup, valid and matching what is on the page.

How we run technical SEO

  1. Crawl and read the logs

A full crawl of the site, plus your server logs where we can get them. Logs show which bots really visit, and which pages they never reach.

  2. Rank the fixes

Each issue is scored on how much it hurts the pages that bring in leads, and how hard it is to fix.

  3. Fix, with or without your developer

We make the changes ourselves through our web development team, or write precise tickets for yours and review the result.

  4. Verify in Search Console

Every fix is checked once Google has re-crawled the page. A ticket is closed when the data says so.

  5. Monitor every month

New releases break things. We re-crawl monthly and after every significant change to the site.

Migrations and redesigns without the traffic drop

A website redesign, a new CMS or a move to a new domain is the riskiest moment for your search traffic. We come in before launch, while mistakes are still cheap.

That means a map from every old address to its new one, redirects tested on the staging site, structured data and titles carried over, and a launch-day checklist. For several weeks after launch we watch Search Console daily and fix anything that slipped.

Frequently asked questions

Do Core Web Vitals affect rankings?

Google says they are part of the page experience signals its ranking systems use, and also that a good page experience does not outweigh relevant content. Speed matters more for what visitors do: slow pages lose people before they ever see your offer.

Does technical SEO matter for AI assistants?

Yes. AI crawlers need access, readable HTML and clear structure, the same as Google. Some read only the HTML the server sends. Our ChatGPT optimization service covers OpenAI’s crawlers in detail.

My traffic dropped suddenly. Is it technical?

Often, especially after a release or a redesign. Sometimes it is a Google update or a competitor. We check the technical causes first because they are the fastest to confirm. See what to do when traffic drops.

Can you work with our developers?

Yes. If you have your own team, we write tickets with the exact problem, the affected URLs and the expected result, then check the fix after it ships.

Which platforms do you work on?

WordPress, Shopify, custom builds and JavaScript frameworks. The principles are the same; the fixes differ, and we know where each platform hides its problems.
